3DMark Scores
This scores were achieved using default setting without any driver tweaks. The tests were run using the latest Nvidia ForceWare 81.94 drivers. Here is the latest 3Dmark05 Score:

Resolution: 1024 x 768, Anti-Aliasing: None, Filtering: Optimal, HLSL VS Target: 3_0, HLSL PS Target: 3_0, Fixed Framerate: Off

Similarly, here are the scores using the latest version of 3DMark03:

Resolution: 1024 x 768, Pixel Processing: None, Texture Filtering: Optimal, Max Anisotropy: 1, Vertex Shaders: Optimal

Preliminary Overclocking

After a couple of hours of testing we tried a bit of overclocking and already produced a 3DMark score of 6904 with the Nvidia GeForce Go 7800 GTX GPU running at 450MHz and memory clocked to 1200. That’s an increase of 51MHz (113%) on the core and 100 (109.1%) on the memory.

These speeds were detected by the Nvidia ForceWare 81.94 drivers as optimum clock rates but you and I know that there’s got to be more power under that bonnet!

Resolution: 1024 x 768, Anti-Aliasing: None, Filtering: Optimal, HLSL VS Target: 3_0, HLSL PS Target: 3_0, Fixed Framerate: Off

Check back in Part II for detailed benchmarking and the maximum overclocking we can achieve. Can we break the 7000 score??
