The ITC METABOX 730u that we tested is about as close to the ideal power
notebook as is possible with today’s components. There are no main
issues with it, only a desire to have the same whiteness in the screen
that I currently enjoy in my Toshiba A70 laptop which uses the same CSV
technology. The whites on the 730 screen are not perfect whites -- they
are mixtures of white and grey.
When you do a lot of graphics work that might be your main concern but
for gaming or general compute work the screen is absolutely great.
The VfM (Value for Money) factor is high – if you must have the latest
and the greatest. You pay for bragging (and fragging – if you’re into
gaming) rights…
You really have to ask yourself whether you need all the specs that we
ordered but if money is no object (or if you want to be THE dude at LAN
parties) there are worse ways to spend about 4 grand of Aussie
dollars... |
