I’ve had the NRGVault 20,000mAh Solar Powerbank sitting on my desk for almost two days straight now! ….with the built in LED torch on. I’ve charged my child’s iPhone and my smaller child’s headphones (These ones!) twice… It’s still on 4 bars (of 5) state of charge. Granted, a 20,000mAh battery is a LOT of battery, and it is kinda large, you could still easily slip it into your backpack or EDC to keep you powered for… some time!

The added benefit of this unit is that it has a solar panel on one side, granted a panel that size isn’t going to do a whole lot, you’re not going to charge your EV off of it, but if you’re in the middle of nowhere, this thing, from flat, will charge on the sun alone at least enough to turn on your phone and get a message out – My plan was to run the battery flat, sit it in the sun and see what sort of time it would take to give me back one bar of go-juice, but I don’t have time to run it down flat – it takes ages! I will endeavour to do this and report back as a bit of a longer term (week or two) add-on to this review (keep an eye on our socials for that update).

Meet the NRGVAULT 20,000mAh Solar Powerbank—your new adventure buddy! This powerhouse is built for the great outdoors, packing a whopping 20,000mAh capacity to keep your gadgets juiced up, even when you’re miles from an outlet. Just set it in the sun, and you’re back in action! It can fast-charge three devices at once with USB-C PD 18W output, so you’re never left hanging. The tough, water-resistant build is ready for any wild adventure, and the handy 4-stage LED shows you exactly how much juice you’ve got left. Plus, there’s a built-in LED torch with three brightness settings—perfect for those late-night campfire sessions. And with the 3-in-1 charging cable included, this powerbank is all set for wherever you’re headed next!

Designed with the outdoors in mind: The USB solar battery has an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance, so while you can’t toss it into the river or swim with it, and dolphins, it’s good with splashes and dirt!
You can charge multiple devices: Power up to three devices at once through USB-C or USB-Micro, keeping in mind it will share it overall potential to charge across the three ports.
Offers an 18W PD – PD gives you up to 18 watts of power – This charges devices faster through the PD (Power Delivery) protocol.
There’s Solar Charging! – Charge the USB Battery anywhere there’s sunlight. (Or a light, but if you have light, you have power…but still) It’s not lightning fast, but it will potentially get you out of a bind.
The unit is handy in an Emergency: You have the solar charger, A handy twin LED torch that has an SOS sequence should you require it, and we hope you don’t!

The weather-cover for the ports has little rubberised ridges to prevent ingress of things that make batteries sad, like water and sand (below)

An easy-to-spot green lamp lights up when the battery is in a solar charge state (see below)

In use, I think this NRGVault 20000mAh Solar Powerbank USB Battery is as handy as any I’ve used, with enough ports to charge a veritable bevy of devices, 20,000 mAh enough for most jobs, phones, iPads, some toys, headphones, torches, even the battery on my bicycle’s derailleur. The little solar panel is handy, but not for charging the battery in full, unless you have a VERY long time… Where the solar function does come in handy is, if, heaven forbid, you’re trapped in the desert and your phone goes flat as you’re about to transmit coordinates to the emergency services, you can use the NRGVault 20000mAh Solar Powerbank USB Battery, and if IT goes flat, you can leave it in the sun a while, build up a little charge and then call for help. (Or any other scenario where this would be handy, but you get my point… it’s an “in emergency” nice to have)

Sturdy and splash proof, PD equipped for a quick charge (roughly 50% of my iPhone 14 Pro Max in 28 minutes or so) I’ll be popping this one in the car on long drives – just in case.
