DRN pulled out the big gun when it comes to testing active lifestyle gear. Devlin Webb at a tender 16 years old has represented at State and National level in both Australian Rules Football and cricket. In AFL he captained the Victorian 12’s team in 2015, represented Australia in 2018 as an under 15 and received a plethora of awards. Devlin is a top order batsman and fast bowler, playing 225 cricket matches including 7 centuries, with best figures of 114 not out batting, and 6/12 in bowling. He debuted for the Premier First 11 at age 15, and has been selected to train in the Victorian High Performance Academy. Devlin’s the name the watch as one of Australia’s future sports stars. So how did the Jabra Elite Active 75t fare when Devlin put it to the test?
Over the last few weeks while wearing the Jabra Elite Active 75t headphones they have become my new favourite toy, I have used the Jabra Elite Active 65t for the last couple of years but the Active 75t have made huge improvements. Lighter, more streamline and extremely comfortable I sometimes forget that I am even wearing them.
The Active 75t headphones give a clear high quality sound with deep Bass and strong mid tones, producing amazing sound whilst pumping my favourite tunes quite nicely. I have used many Bluetooth headphones that struggle to stay constantly connected whilst I am running or doing any heavy activity, but these have proved to be a solid performer.
Whether I’m doing a tough cardio workout or a 5k run my music doesn’t stop or even get interrupted by that horrible jittery connections. The waterproof feature makes it much more fun to run in the rain and, just between you and me singing in the showers has become much more fun listening to my Spotify playlist, now I don’t annoy my family with my tunes, just my singing.
The connection distance of the Active 75t is not like any other Bluetooth connection I have used before, walking around the house even at distances of 20 meters or more, I still have perfect connection, no cutting in and our action when walking between rooms.
I can’t tell you the amount of times I have got myself in trouble with my coaches when doing my high performance training, I’d usually be yelled at whilst wearing my headphones and not listening or responding to my coaches. However, with the Jabra Elite Active 75t I batted in the nets for several hours using the “hear through” function, I could motivate and pump myself up with my workout songs and still hear every word my coaches were saying. They still have no idea why I was constantly singing.
Talk about speed, when the Active 75t headphones run out of charge don’t worry, their fast charging ability allows for you to sit down for the family dinner and have them fully charged ready to work for hours on end or use them to play a long night of Fortnite. I found the Jabra Elite Active 75t such a great pair of earbuds to use for any occasion, they are easy to store in their compact charging case, simple to use, comfortable to wear, and have amazing sound and microphone quality. You really won’t want to leave the house without them.
The Jabra Elite Active 75t has a two year warranty against dust and water, and is available in copper black, mint, navy and sienna at RRP$329.00. There are some EOFY specials which may net you some savings. Note that DRN will receive a small commission if you chose to purchase from the referral link, this will go to keeping our site running.
DRN would like to thank Jabra for their on-going support.
